Harbin Engineering University held its first international cultural festival, attracting hundreds of overseas students from 92 countries who study at universities in Heilongjiang province.

The mini world’s fair-style event treated visitors to a variety of special display zones, food and performances.

The program of performances included Russian dances and instrument recitals, a South Korean taekwondo demonstration, and special dances from a number of Southeast Asian countries. Other overseas students shared their national culture with their peers through photos, clothes, videos and handiwork.

Harbin Engineering University has held regular cultural communication activities in recent years. More and more activities will be held at the university in the future to accelerate its internationalization process.
