Do you remember a Californian sea lion gave birth to a cub at Harbin’s Polarland Park on Aug 22? It was the first baby sea lion ever to be born on the Chinese mainland.
Now the little sea lion is one-month old, and Polarland Park wants your help in choosing a name for this adorable creature!
If you have an idea for a good name for the sea lion, send your suggestion to the park via its official WeChat account. If your name is chosen, you will receive a special annual pass for the park that will allow you to get a free tour of the park any time it is open!
Polarland’s staff believes that the pup is female, but it is impossible to tell for sure at this stage because sea lions mature quite late.
The sea lion has recently started to learn how to swim. Staff at the park have built a special swimming pool for the pup with a depth of just 40 centimeters so that the sea lion can practice swimming safely every day.
