Harbin mayor meets top company leaders

Song Xibin, mayor of Harbin, met with top leaders from financial institutions and companies on Nov 15.
Song held talks with Fan Dazhi, president of Hua Xia Bank (HXB); Zhuang Shangbiao, president of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC); and Liu Chang, general manager of Capital development and Investment Capital Management Company.
Song welcomed the three guests and expressed his congratulations on the launch of the Hua Xia Bank Harbin branch.
Harbin is an important industrial base in the country and also a hub for the Belt and Road Initiative, Song said.
Harbin has actively adapted to the new realities for economic development and has tried hard to build a sound legal framework and internationalized business environmentfor the market economy, he said.
The Harbin government has given its approval to establish the new district, building a new platform for the development of the city as well as the province, he added.
Song also said that HXB and CRCC are in the top 500 companies in China and have made great achievements in the fields of finance and infrastructure building respectively. He expressed his hopes the two companies could grasp development opportunities in Harbin to enjoy mutually beneficiary cooperation in the fields of finance, transportation and urban regeneration.
Song said Harbin will spare no efforts in providing high quality services to create an open business environment in the future.
Fan Dazhi and Zhuang Shangbiao both said that they were willing to cooperate at the highest levels in constructing municipal infrastructure and regenerating urban areas.
After their work conference, Harbin signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with HXB and CRCC.
