Harbin house prices up 1.6 percent

The price of newly-built homes in Harbin rose by 1.6 percent in October compared with the same period last year, according to the latest data released by the Harbin investigation team of the National Bureau of Statistics.
The price of new homes measuring less than 90 square meters rose by 1.3 percent in October. Meanwhile, the price of apartments measuring between 90 and 144 square meters, and above 144 square meters, saw annual increases of 2.2 percent and 0.9 percent respectively.
Prices for all types of housing were 0.4 percent higher in October, compared to September.
Out of 70 large and medium-sized cities, the price index of newly-built homes in Harbin ranked 58th, the same position as Jilin, Jilin province.
Meanwhile, the price index of the newly built homes in Harbin is now 16.3 percentage points lower than that of the average of the15 sub-provincial cities.
