Secretary of Harbin Party Committee Chen Haibo has promised to take advantage of all opportunities to promote the construction of projects in the New District. Chen was speaking during his inspection tour of Harbin New District on Nov 16.

Chen urged the cultivation of professional talents and the adherence to the principle of making progress through innovation.

Chen made a full inspection of the new technologies and new products for high-speed rail and subway systems, during his inspection tour of Harbin Tongda Environmental Protection Automation Co (HTEPAC).

He encouraged the company to continue to learn key technologies and improve market competitiveness.

Leaders from HTEPAC said that the company has now mastered a production technology that could manufacture products for export. The company will make more investments to upgrade technology and develop new products, and will also establish a research and development center.

"It is right for us to have a global vision and have the courage to innovate,” Chen said. He also noted that a company should improve its technological innovation capability to tap market potential.

Chen encouraged creating a good work environment to promote the development of the city. He also called for making more efforts to build more public service facilities for exercise and entertainment.

Meanwhile, Chen made inspection tours of SG Micro Corp Harbin Branch, Maiyuan E-commerce Company and Harbin Space Star Technology Company.
