Heilongjiang firms head to Russia

A total of 88 firms from Heilongjiang province will attend an industrial and technical cooperation fair in Russia, according to a news briefing held on Nov 25.
The news briefing disclosed that during the fair 17 Chinese firms will sign cooperation contracts with Russian firms in the sectors of carborundum, rail transit, and graphite.
About 33 percent of the 88 Heilongjiang firms are new high-tech companies. Some Chinese companies are scheduled to sign contracts with Russian firms while some will conduct further negotiations with each other.
There will be two meetings at the fair, with one to be held in Sverdlovsk Oblast and the other in Moscow.
The fair will open on Nov 27, and will finish on Dec 1.
