The Heilongjiang First Medical Group (HFMG) was founded on Nov 30, the first of its kind in the province.

The medical group was sponsored by Harbin No 1 Hospital, together with 49 other hospitals, including first, second and third-level hospitals.

All the medical institutions in the group will make joint efforts to promote a hierarchical medical system by sharing medical services and medical results, in the spirit of achieving positive outcomes for patients.

The 49 medical institutions in the group will make integrated planning in the fields of research and development, teaching, and treatment, according to Meng Qing, president of the HFMG.

Meanwhile, all the hospitals will share their resources and technologies to complement each other’s strengths and conduct cooperation with each other, he claimed.

Furthermore, patients who choose to receive medical services in any hospital of the group can receive 24 hours of instant medical consultation services through the internet, and medical experts from Beijing and Shanghai will also be invited to treat those suffering from complex conditions.
