Harbin’s Xiangfang district put into use its first science education center in Chenggaozi town on Nov 29.

The science education center aims to provide a place for teenagers to hold after-school activities. The center, covering an area of 100 square meters, has been jointly built by the Xiangfang Association of Science and Technology and Chenggaozi township government.

There are three areas in the center, including a practice area for science exploration, a science education area and a library. It has many high-tech gadgets, including tellurians and electrostatic table tennis equipment.

Science lessons will be given on a regular basis by the center to improve students’ practical skills and encourage their interest in science.
