Harbin begins sculpting snow for Sun Island Expo

Snow carvers sculpt the snow at Sun Island in the Snow Expo Park in Harbin, Heilongjiang province on Dec 5, 2016. The main snow sculpture named “Love Songs” (literally “liange” in Chinese) for the 29th Sun Island Snow Sculpture Expo began to be engraved on Dec 4. The snow sculpture “Love Songs” measures 103 meters long, 14 meters wide and is 31 meters high. About 30,000 meters of snow will be used to complete the sculpture, which will be finished by nearly 100 carvers over more than ten days. [Photo/my399.com]
