Harbin to launch environmental protection plan

Harbin will launch an environmental protection plan to prevent further damage to the area’s ecosystem and improve the surrounding environment, according to news released by the Harbin environmental protection bureau.
The plan has set up a medium and long-term strategic roadmap for the environmental protection of the city.
The plan has enacted specific measures for the protection of the city’s air and water quality for the next 10 years.
So far, Harbin has completed the plan for Shangzhi and Yanshou counties, and will launch the compilation of the plan for Wuchang, Mulan, Tonghe and Fangzheng counties.
Meanwhile, Harbin will unify the management of biological protection areas for natural protection areas, important wetlands, and forests.
