Heilongjiang deputy secretary promotes ice and snow industry

Huang Jiansheng, deputy secretary of CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee, urged the promotion of ice and snow events while visiting Harbin on Dec 8.
Huang was speaking during an inspection tour to discover more about the ice and snow industry.
Huang visited Harbin No 1 Middle School, Zhaolin Primary School, and Heilongjiang Museum. He was briefed on various issues including the ice sports venue building, the ice and snow industry building program and the creation of artworks.
He noted that Heilongjiang’s climate and winter sports culture is beneficial to the further development of the ice and snow industry.
Huang encouraged making the full use of ice and snow in Heilongjiang, developing more ice sports activities and providing good infrastructure for the general public to be able to take part in ice and snow sports activities.
During his visits to schools, he encouraged students to develop an interest in ice and snow sports and improve their fitness.
Furthermore, he called for attracting more investment to build Heilongjiang into a famous center for ice and snow activities.
He also expressed his enthusiasm for welcoming artists to come and depict ice and snow activities in Heilongjiang province, providing further promotion for the area.
