The 18th Harbin Ice and Snow World will open on the evening of Jan 5, following a trial run lasting 10 days.
The opening ceremony will be held at 7:30 pm at the 800,000-square-meter park, where a drum performance and firework display will be held.
Harbin Ice and Snow World started its trial run on Dec 21. During this period, all staff members at the park worked 12 hours every day, helping with the landscaping, planning the entertainment program and ensuring there was adequate access for vehicles at the site.
All ice and snow landscape features have now been completed and all entertainment facilities are ready to open to the public.
In addition, the tourist service center, deposit center and broadcast system are all ready for use.
On Jan 1, the ticket price for Ice and Snow World was increased to 330 yuan ($47.4), up from the preferential price of 200 yuan during the trial run.
