Heilongjiang issues standards for elder care facilities

Heilongjiang will issue operations standards for services provided by elder care facilities, according to the Heilongjiang Quality Supervision Bureau.

Standards will be issued for the environment and service staff for all manner of assisted living facilities.

Three meals should be provided every day in elder care facilities, and the recipes should be different every day, according to the standards.

Nursing services for senior citizens should be conducted in independent places, according to the standards.

Health evaluations should be given and records should be kept for the elderly within 48 hours after they are admitted to the facility.

Harbin ramps up childcare services

A new comprehensive service center for childcare in Harbin is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
