Harbin is well prepared for the holding of the “two sessions”, according to a press conference on Jan 17.

The first session of the 13th Harbin Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference will open on Jan 22, and the first session of the 15th Harbin Municipal People’s Congress will open on Jan 23, according to the press conference.

This year’s “two sessions” will be especially important since Harbin is currently making great efforts to promote the rejuvenation and development of the city.

The Harbin government work report will be delivered at the first session of the 15th Harbin Municipal People’s Congress. An additional work report will also be submitted by the Harbin Municipal People’s Congress standing committee.

Members of the Harbin Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference will discuss the government work report along with reports given by the Harbin Intermediate People's Court and Harbin Intermediate People's Procuratorate.

Harbin’s municipal leaders will also attend group discussions to exchange views on hot topics and issues that the public are most concerned with.
