Heilongjiang will build ice and snow vocational colleges in the province in a bid to promote the development of ice and snow sports, according to the provincial education bureau.

Heilongjiang will also build ice and snow sports into the curriculums of universities, colleges, middle schools and primary schools.

The ice and snow physical education classes will be included as part of the core curriculum at schools of all levels and every student in Heilongjiang province is required to master one or two winter sports.

Meanwhile, every school will offer training places for ice and snow sports and also provide winter sports facilities.

Teams who excel at ice and snow sports are to be supported and offered further training in Heilongjiang.
