In recent years, the economy has expanded, and the first and tertiary industries have maintained a strong development momentum, according to the report.

Great progress has also been made on railway projects, water conservation and the renovation of deprived areas.

In 2017, the Heilongjiang government will further promote supply-side reforms and promote integration of the health, media and sports industries.

Meanwhile, Heilongjiang will further open itself to the outside world, especially Russia.

Also, the province will take steps to protect the environment, improve people’s standard of living and enhance cooperation with the central government.
