By 2020, the total vegetable plantation area in the province will reach 1 million hectares, double that of 2016, according to the guidance.
Meanwhile, the sales volume of vegetables will reach 5 million tons and average annual revenues will hit more than 50,000 yuan ($7,281) for every family planting vegetables.
Also, Heilongjiang will encourage colleges and scientific research institutions to cooperate and breed new high-quality varieties.
