The Shenzhen-Harbin Graphene Industry Cooperation Conference was held on March 1 in Harbin, Heilongjiang province.

Harbin government officials Shi Jiaxing and Gao Dawei both delivered speeches at the conference, jointly held by the Shenzhen’s Hualong district government, Harbin’s Songbei district government and the Harbin High-tech district administrative committee.

At the conference, the Longhua and Songbei district governments signed a cooperative framework agreement, according to which the Hualong and Songbei districts will cooperate to develop and upgrade the investment environment of both districts to attract foreign investment.

Harbin is expected to establish a northeastern grapheme production line to support new Shenzhen high-tech companies in establishing technological transformation bases in the Songbei district. Both districts have encouraged colleges and institutions to build technological transformation bases to promote the industrialized research.

Universities and colleges have also been encouraged to establish research and development platforms, such as key laboratories.

The two districts will deepen cooperation in tertiary industries, including finance, tourism and the real economy. Harbin’s human resources information platform was also urged to establish an information sharing mechanism for recent graduates from the two districts.

More than 50 Shenzhen businesses negotiated with Harbin companies at the conference, laying a good foundation for future in-depth cooperation.
