The fifth session of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was officially closed on March 13.

Members of the CPPCC Heilongjiang committee returned to Harbin that afternoon.

During the conference, which ran from March 3 to 13, all 24 members of the Heilongjiang committee actively participated in the event.

The delegates submitted 69 proposals to the CPPCC National Committee. These proposals focused on such topics as the protection of black land and the development of gas turbine, robot, graphite, and ice and snow industries.

One proposal raised by 19 CPPCC members calling for increased protection of black land in Northeast China attracted the attention of relevant departments and was posted on more than 90 media outlets.

In the CPPCC panel discussions, the members also discussed supply-side reform, the rejuvenation of Northeast China's industrial bases, and financial cooperation with Russia.
