Harbin's Daoli district will start keeping individual health records for all of its residents, with the aim of providing better medical services for them.

At present, more than 340,000 residents in Daoli district have signed contracts with family doctors at the health community center. Meanwhile, more than 20% of residents currently choose to receive their medical services at health community centers.

Every family doctor can use one of the 89 heath examination machines which are provided for them to keep records of the health information of residents.

So far, the health data of around 50,000 residents has been collected and put onto a database. Residents are able to access the records through an app.
