Song Xibin, mayor of Harbin, met with Li Changjin, chairman of China Railway Group Limited (CRC) on March 27.

"Harbin has maintained stable but rapid economic and social development in recent years," Song said. "There is great investment potential in Harbin, since it is promoting infrastructure construction such as subways, underground pipelines, roads and bridges," he said.

"CRC has rich experience in railway technologies and operations," Song said. "Meanwhile, Harbin has established a good relationship with CRC," he added.

Song expressed his hopes that CRC can further expand areas of cooperation in Harbin to promote the city's economic and social development.

"Harbin is one of the key investment areas for CRC," Li said. "CRC will increase its investment and construction projects in Harbin, looking for areas to cooperate and trying to make further contributions to the city's development," he said.

After the meeting, Harbin municipal government signed a strategic cooperative framework agreement with CRC.
