The 2017 China International Dairy Cooperation Conference will be held in Harbin, Heilongjiang province from April 20 to April 23.

As one of the most influential annual events in China’s dairy industry, this conference will be themed around corporate responsibility and public health.

This year’s dairy conference consists of four parts, including a main forum, special forums, press releases and related activities.

More than 2,000 participants will be invited to take part in the conference, including officials, experts and businesspeople from industry associations, ministries, colleges, research institutions and global dairy companies.

Many academics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering will gather for a forum titled “Healthy China 2030”, which is aimed at developing a blueprint for improving the nation’s health.

Meanwhile, a high-level talk will be held centering on the first 1,000 days of life following birth. Technical teams from top dairy companies, including France’s Danone will talk about health in the early stages of life with pediatric experts from well-known hospitals including the China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing.

Also, 13 special forums will be held to discuss China’s No 1 Central Document, the supply-side structural reforms being made to the dairy industry and the key work of the Agricultural Ministry for 2017.

A dairy exhibition will be held at the same time as the conference. As the host of the dairy conference and exhibition, Heilongjiang has obvious advantages in producing dairy products.

Heilongjiang is one of three globally-recognized areas for producing significant amounts of high-quality milk, boasting 2.07 million hectares of pastures. Heilongjiang also has many agricultural universities such as Northeast Agricultural University, which train more than 6,000 college graduates per year to work in the agricultural industry.
