Harbin DongAn Automotive Engine Manufacturing Co Ltd (DAE) will participate in the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show from April 19 to 28, showcasing its latest engines and transmissions.
The auto show will hosted by the China Automotive Industry Association and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The show will be held at the Shanghai International Exhibition Center.
More than 1 million people are expected to visit the auto show, which will also attract 10,000 reporters from 3,000 media outlets.
As a manufacturing company specializing in powertrains, DAE has focused on the development of both engines and transmissions.
Founded in 1998, DAE has been continuously making progress in improving its technological research and development capabilities in order to meet with the domestic market needs.
The promotion theme for DAE at the Shanghai auto show will be “Technology, Quality, and Green Power”. In order to highlight this theme, DAE will take two of its engines to the show, including the 4G13T and D20TGDI, as well as two transmissions, including a 6-speed manual transmission (6MT) and a 6-speed automatic transmission (6AT).
The 6AT can be applied to sedans and SUVs, with the weight ranging from 1.2 tons to 2.6 tons.
This 6AT transmission can help to achieve accurate control since it uses an electromagnetic proportional pressure control valve. This kind of transmission has an electronic control failure protection mode, simplified hydraulic system, and is optimized for space and efficiency.
The idle neutral logic control of the 6AT can reduce fuel consumption and vibration at the same time. This advanced technology is the first of its kind used in domestic self-owned brands.
The 6MT transmission is a 6-gear manual transmission which uses mainstream shift gears. The toque capacity can reach up to 250 Nm.
The D20TGDI engine adopts a similar technological plan used by the 2.0 Ecoboost, one of the best 10 engines in the world appraised by WardsAuto in 2012.Parts of the engine has been redesigned, including the cylinder cover, piston, lubricating system, and valve mechanism.
The 4G15T engine is developed by Japan’s Mitsubishi company based on the model of the 4G15M. Then it is inspected and examined for reliability standards according to Ford’s requirements.
The 4G13T engine was improved based on the 4G15T and consists of two platforms including front-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. This engine has largely improved market competitiveness and is applicable to sedans, SUVs, and MPVs.
The 4G13T is a leading engine in China in terms of supercharged engines with low emissions, with the maximum net torque power of 93kW/5000rpm.
Relying on excellent service and rich experience, DAE has now shortened product research and development.
DAE has made great improvements in the technology of powertrain products and production capabilities. DAE now sells its products both at home and abroad.
DAE is a key company for domestic powertrains as it can research, develop, manufacture, and sell engines.
