A total of 148,000 passengers passed through Harbin Taiping International Airport during the Labor Day holiday period (April 29 – May 1), an increase of 21.8 percent compared with the same period last year.

Due to their favorable climate and unique location, Chongqing, Chengdu, and Hangzhou have become the first choices for Harbin residents looking to travel during the Labor Day holiday this year.

The number of passengers peaked on May 1, with many returning to work from their hometowns or tourist destinations. Flights traveling to Harbin from Beijing, Qingdao and Yantai were running at around 90 percent capacity.

In order to improve its services, the airport has optimized flight transfer procedures to ensure all passengers have a safe and smooth journey.
