Russian orchestra gives performance in Harbin

A grand symphony concert performed by a Russian orchestra was held on May 1 at Harbin music hall to celebrate the May Day holiday.
The Saint Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra was led by famous Russian conductor Vladimir Abramovich Altschuler.
The concert featured pieces by famous composers including Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
The audience appeared to appreciate the spectacular concert given by the symphony orchestra, which has a history of 86 years.
It is the first time the orchestra has given a performance in Harbin. During the Labor Day holiday which lasted from April 29 to May 1, they also gave performances in Dalian and Shenyang.
The Harbin audience showed their appreciation for the music with big rounds of applause after each piece.
"In order to attend the concert, I booked the ticket two months in advance,” said Liu Chang, one of the music fans attending the concert.
"I like all the performances given by the orchestra; they are all excellent,” he said.
