The Harbin government urged the further development of its new district at a conference held on May 6, encouraging local governments at all levels to carry forward the spirit of the recently held Congress of the Party Representatives.

Three districts will be absorbed into Harbin’s New District, including the Songbei district, the Pingfang district and the Limin Economic and Technological Development Zone in the Hulan district.

The Harbin government also called for further reforms and innovation of the new district coordination system and for the further development of new industries, clusters and services at the conference.
