A media group toured the Wanda Cultural and Tourist Town in Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang province on May 18.
The Harbin Wanda cultural town is the largest integrated commercial project for tourism in Heilongjiang.
At the end of 2016 there were six Wanda tourist towns in China. By 2020, China is expected to have 15 tourist towns, boasting 51 different types of theme park.
The Harbin Wanda town has a large ski resort, an outdoor wonderland and a grand theater.
Combining the advantageous tourism resources of Harbin, Wanda town has developed a tourism model to meet the different needs of tourists from both home and abroad.
The large indoor ski resort in the town covers an area of 80,000 square meters, and the temperature in the ski resort stays at a chilly -5 C throughout the year. There are six ski trails in total, some of them as high as 80 meters.
The outdoor wonderland has 28 large recreation facilities featuring northeastern China’s fishing and hunting culture.
There is also a 120,000-square-meter shopping mall in the town, as well as a cinema which has 11 screens and can hold a maximum of 3,000 people.
Harbin Wanda town will open to the public on June 30.
