Medical personnel and ambulance drivers at the Children’s Hospital of Harbin have worked hard to provide the best medical services to the city’s children.
Cardiac Surgery Department:
This ward pays attention to humanistic care and has created a children's home. In the ward, there are several walls: the Love Wall expresses thanks to those groups and individuals who help patients fight diseases, the Angel Wall shows precious pictures of young patients at the hospital, and the Scientific Wall explains the pathological changes of diseases to parents. The ward also collects clothing, stationery, books and toys, which are all donated to children and parents in need. Themed rooms for children are also available.
Hematology Department:
Patients in the hematology department are taken care of by medical personnel. In addition to medical treatment, a number of activities are held to create a better environment for the young patients.
Neonatal Department:
The neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) of the hospital was established in 1987 and is one of 13 ICUs sponsored by the UN. The Transport to Treatment drivers have made hundreds of trips, covering more than 55,000 kilometers.
