An exhibition about China’s latest defense equipment opened to the public in Songbei district, Harbin on Aug 12, displaying models of some of the most advanced military and aerospace equipment.

The Harbin exhibition features models of the first aircraft carrier to be developed in China, type 99 main battle tanks, the Long March-2 F rocket, space capsules and China’s Yutu (Jade Rabbit) lunar rover, giving local residents an opportunity to examine some of China’s most high-tech equipment.

To avoid traffic congestion, the local government is providing free shuttle services for visitors during the exhibition period, which runs through Aug 27.
