Heilongjiang province, in Northeast China, recently launched a development project, to establish specialized industrial parks for ice and snow sports equipment.

The project aims to establish more than three specialized industrial parks, while primarily focusing on Harbin, Qiqihar and Mudanjiang. By the end of 2022 the main business revenue is expected to be over 4 billion yuan ($599.7 million).

Focusing on equipment of snow sports, ice sports and sports fields, Heilongjiang province will introduce strategic investors and famous brands to advance technology, production, and model innovation, making Heilongjiang a nationwide influential development and production base for ice and snow sports equipment.

Heilongjiang will also introduce high-end ice and snow sports equipment manufacturing project, while attracting internationally and nationally renowned manufacturers to invest in the project.

With the aim to develop and manufacture multi-level equipment for different groups, Heilongjiang encourages ice and snow sports equipment companies with priority to acquire land for construction.

Researchers at colleges, universities or scientific research institutions can take part-time jobs in equipment research companies after receiving permission from their departments.

According to the project, ice and snow sports will be listed in physical education courses in compulsory education system, in an effort to establish and perfect ice and snow sports competition system, and to propel development of ice and snow sports.
