The 2017 China Harbin International Beer Festival came to an end in Harbin, Heilongjiang province on Aug 14.

The 12-day festival attracted around 600,000 participants, who consumed around 1,000 kiloliters of beer.

In addition to common beer brands like Harbin Beer, Budweiser, Tsingtao, and Heineken, several foreign brands of beer were making their first appearance at the festival.

Foods available at the festival proved popular, including oyster omelet from Taiwan and pork knuckle from Germany. Music and dancing performed at the festival were especially popular with visitors.

“We set up a platform to promote beer culture and build a high quality tourism project, and commercial opportunities are being provided to all sectors of society,” said Wang Zengyu, assistant general manager of Harbin Ice and Snow World Park Limited.

“It is a win-win situation, and we will work jointly to drive Harbin’s summer tourism industry.”
