Harbin issues $4.89m for poverty relief

Harbin financing department recently issued its annual poverty alleviation funds to 12 counties in the city, Harbin Daily reported on Sept 3.
The funds, with a total value of 32 million yuan ($4.89 million), will be used to help poverty-stricken residents in Harbin to get education, build infrastructure and improve their living environments. Yanshou county obtained the most funding with a grant of 6.81 million yuan, while Acheng district got the least at 1.11 million yuan.
