Harbin-Altay tourist train commences operations

Passengers board a train specifically for tourists travelling between Harbin in Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province and Altay city in Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region at Harbin East Railway Station on Sept 5. The tourist train, named “Longtai”, will pass through Heilongjiang province, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Gansu province, Ningxia Hui autonomous region before finally arriving in Altay city. The train service offers tourists the chance to appreciate beautiful scenery, including dense forests, vast grasslands, desolate deserts, and majestic mountains. [Photo/Chinanews.com]
