Passenger ships to commence operations on Songhua River

Two passenger ships purchased by Harbin government arrived in Harbin on Sept 26, Harbin Daily reported.

The passenger ships, operated by Harbin Traffic Group, will primarily be used for transporting passengers between the two sides of Songhua River.

The two passenger ships are named “Tianhe No 1” and “Tianhe No 2”, with total investment of 4.22 million yuan ($632,900).

Each ship is 27.3 meters long and 6.1 meters wide, with two floors. There is also a VIP room for those who want to enjoy a private space.

To guarantee the passengers’ safety, the ships are equipped with life jackets. Each ship accommodates up to 150 passengers.
