Free after-school care provided for Harbin pupils

Harbin, in Heilongjiang province, started free after-school care in the city’s primary schools from Oct 9. On Oct 10, parents’ meetings were held in these schools to learn about their needs.
School dismissal time from Mondays to Fridays will range from 4:30 pm to 5:10 pm. During the extended after-school time, schools will organize self-study, extracurricular reading, arts, sports and other activities for the students. Students can voluntarily participate in the after-school care.
Nangang district in Harbin started the after-school care in 35 schools, and 11 schools in Daoli district will also begin to provide such services from this week.
