Infrastructure completed for nuclear steam turbine plant

Harbin Steam Turbine Co recently finished constructing infrastructure for its nuclear steam turbine plant which is expected to begin operations in January 2018.
The steam turbine plant, which has a planned area of 16,000 square meters, will have a production capacity of two sets of 1000MW-level nuclear steam turbines per year once it has fully commenced operations.
The project has received total investment of 913.8 million yuan ($137.74 million).
With the infrastructure now in place, numerical control heavy sleepers, 260-type boring machines, and numerical control gantry millings are undergoing installation and debugging.
