The AC312E helicopter, designed and manufactured by Hafei Aviation Industry Co, has successfully completed its trial flights at Yushu Batang Airport, marking a breakthrough in overcoming barriers to operating at super high-altitude airports.
Super high-altitude airports are airports which are located at an altitude of more than 2,438 meters.
The trail flights ran over a period of 13 days, with a total of 29 flights conducted resulting in total flying time of 17 hours.
The flights were designed to test the performance of the helicopter operating in high-altitude environments, including hovering, climbing, and cruising, as well as taking off and landing. The aircraft was also tested in windy conditions.
The AC312E helicopter is highly reliable, has a long service life, and performs well at high altitudes. It can be used for air patrols, law enforcement, medical rescue and general transportation.
