Tourists traveling in Heilongjiang province by the Harbin-Daqing-Qiqihar High-speed Railway can access the 4G network even high in the mountains or underground in tunnels, thanks to Harbin's full 4G coverage on high-speed rail lines.
Some 20 scenic areas in Harbin, such as Fenghuang Mountain and Hehuazi Mountain, also have full 4G coverage, according to information from Harbin Tower, a Harbin-based communication service provider, focusing on construction and maintenance of mobile communication base stations.
Harbin plans to make the 4G network available in all urban areas and major transport locations around the city.
Construction of 4G communication base stations targeted at Harbin Taiping International Airport, Harbin metro, as well as Harbin-Jiamusi High-speed Railway and Harbin-Mudanjiang High-speed Railway is currently ongoing. It is estimated that the number of new stations will reach 4,500.
