Harbin No 1 Hospital organized a medical and health volunteer team to provide free medical services for the elderly at Tongjiang Shangzhi Residential Community on Oct 26, marking the Double Ninth Festival.

Double Ninth Festival, also called Chongyang Festival, which falls on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month each year, is a traditional Chinese festival to show respect and gratitude to seniors.

The volunteer team consists of 15 doctors and nurses from different medical fields, including rehabilitation, orthopedics, neurology, cardiology and endocrinology.

Around 100 elderly people accepted free physical examinations and professional medical consultation services.
