A jobs fair targeted at university graduates in Heilongjiang province was held at East University of Heilongjiang in Pingfang district of Harbin on Oct 28.

Sponsored by the government and the human resources bureau of Pingfang district, the graduate jobs fair was being held for the fifth time. It attracted around 2,000 students from 10 universities in Heilongjiang, including the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin University of Commerce, Jiamusi University and Qiqihar University.

Some 200 businesses attended the fair, including companies that work in equipment manufacturing, information technology (IT), finance, education, computer services, architecture, material analysis, biopharmaceuticals, chemical engineering and foreign trade.

The businesses are mainly from Hanan Industrial New City, followed by those from the Yangtze River Delta, Beijing, Shenzhen and Shandong province.
