New firefighters attend induction

An induction ceremony for Harbin’s first batch of full-time firefighters was held in Harbin on Nov 1.
The 114 firefighters are all male residents of Harbin under 38 years of age.
They will undergo a two-month training period before being able to undertake their roles as full-time firefighters.
Following training, the firefighters are sent to one of three firefighting units to improve their practical skills before finally working in positions such as firefighting, fire safety education, and administrative services.
