AECC and SAV jointly open aircraft engineering school

Aero Engine Corporation of China (AECC) and Shenyang Aerospace University (SAV) signed an agreement on Nov 3 to cooperate on establishing an aircraft engineering school, Chinanews.com reported.
The new school, which is affiliated to Shenyang Aerospace University, will offer majors in aerospace propulsion theory and engineering, thermal physics, aircraft propulsion, and aircraft materials engineering –– serving as a platform to train aircraft engineers and test engineers.
It will also provide technological innovation and research services for AECC.
Some 1,000 people attended the signing ceremony of the new aviation engine school held in Shenyang on Nov 3.
Li Fangyong, general manager of AECC, a large State-owned enterprise focusing on aircraft engines and related technology development, delivered a speech at the ceremony. He expressed his hopes that the school would take advantage of the laboratory at Shenyang Aerospace University to support the development of China’s aviation industry.
