The 23rd Harbin Farming Expo took place at Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center from Nov 6 to 8.

Sponsored by the government of Harbin, the farming expo is the largest of its kind in China.

Some 2,000 exhibitors from home and abroad attended the expo, with exhibited items including crop seeds, pesticide, fertilizer, high-tech agricultural machinery, and greenhouse equipment.

The biggest highlights of the expo were agricultural services utilizing advanced technologies. Exhibitors that provide services such as soil testing and crop spraying using drones drew much attention from visitors.

“Our drones can finish spraying 100 mu of land with pesticides within a half hour, much faster than the traditional method, which can take as much as a day,” said an exhibitor from Songbei district of Harbin.

In addition to the expo, many other activities, including a matchmaking meeting, a forum and a vegetable and crop exhibition, were also held during the expo.
