A total of 67 Harbin businesses recently signed deals worth 203 million yuan ($30.58 million) with businesses in Shenzhen at the Seventh Shenzhen International Natural Food and Organic Industries Expo, people.cn reported on Nov 7.

A delegation consisting of over 100 Harbin businesses attended the Seventh Shenzhen International Natural Food and Organic Industries Expo held in Shenzhen, Guangdong province from Nov 4 to 6.

A total of 82 Harbin booths covering 2,000 square meters have been set up at the expo, housing around 1,500 types of organic food including Wuchang rice, Harbin smoked sausage, Yuquan wine, Wangda Mountain milk, and pork.

During the three-day event, Harbin firms received around 10,000 purchasers and customers from home and abroad, and retail sales hit 1 million yuan.

Additionally, 67 Harbin businesses reached cooperation agreements with local food distributors, with contracts worth a total of more than 200 million yuan.

The Shenzhen expo serves as a platform for Harbin businesses to promote agricultural products to domestic and overseas markets. The event is also a good opportunity for businesses to link up with projects and deepen agricultural cooperation with other regions.
