Harbin team wins first prize in robotics competition

The team from the Affiliated Senior Middle School of Harbin Institute of Technology recently won first prize at the China final of the 2017 Asia-Pacific Robotics Championship, in Zhuhai city, Guangdong province.
The team from the school beat 128 other teams and won the opportunity to take part in the final of the Asia-Pacific Robotics Championship held in New Zealand on Dec 2.
The competition requires students to complete the design and programming of their robots by themselves.
The Affiliated Senior Middle School of Harbin Institute of Technology has taken part in the competition for 20 years. The highest rank the school has previously achieved in the competition was 17th in the world.
The Asia-Pacific Robotics Championship is an international event organized by the Asian Robotics League (ARL), with the aim of nurturing young people’s interest in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.
