The 2017 Harbin-Shenzhen Russia Cultural and Art Fair unveiled in Songlei International Commercial Building of Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province on Nov 15.
Themed “pushing forward Harbin-Shenzhen culture cooperation and boosting Sino-Russia culture communications”, the fair will be divided into two parts. One part runs for five days from Nov 15 to Nov 19 in Harbin, and the other part will be held in Moscow, St.Petersburg and Khabarovsk in Russia at the end of December.
The Harbin event sets five exhibition areas for national handicrafts, high-tech art products and intangible cultural heritages from Harbin, Shenzhen, as well as nine states and 10 cities in Russia.
Visitors will not only have the chance to appreciate exquisite art works, but also enjoy rich cultural activities during the fair, including Russian styled dances, tea ceremony, flower arrangement and guqin (a plucked seven-string Chinese musical instrument) performances.
Meanwhile, the 17th Harbin Folk Art Expo is being held during the fair. The expo covers an area of 5,000 square meters, with around 20,000 exhibit items of 160 culture creation businesses from Harbin, Shenzhen and Russia on display.
This year’s cultural and art fair is of the largest participation scale and the highest level of its kind in Harbin, said an official from Harbin government.
The fair will serve as a platform for China and Russia to deepen cooperation and communications on cultural sector, and it is also the perfect platform for businesses from the two sides to seek cooperation opportunities and sign deals.
