Snow machines work on Sun Island to prepare for China Harbin Sun Island International Snow Sculpture Art Expo. Information from the management committee of the expo revealed that the preparatory work for this year’s expo started on Nov 16, and that the event will run for 40 days in total. The expo is the origin of China’s snow sculpture art. Every year, snow sculptures integrating carving art and acousto-optic technologies are on display. The expo highlights include a four-day sculpture competition, attracting famous sculptors from home and abroad to demonstrate their skills. It has become a key event to promote ice and snow tourism.
