Wudalianchi Dedu Airport set to receive first flight

Zhejiang Loong Air will launch a flight linking Harbin and Wudalianchi scenic area in Wudalianchi city in the north of Heilongjiang province starting on Nov 22.

The flight is being launched to satisfy the increasing demands of tourism and trade; and it’s the first flight to the newly-built Wudalianchi Dedu Airport.

The newly-launched flights will operate as GJ8037 and GJ8038 on a daily basis.

An Airbus A320 will depart from Harbin Taiping International Airport at 12:55, landing at Wudalianchi Dedu Airport at 14:05; the plane will then depart from Dude Airport after a 105-minute stop and finally arrive in Harbin at 17:00.

Wudalianchi Dedu Airport is located 6.5 kilometers southeast of the downtown area of the city. It covers an area of 169.5 hectares, with a 2,500-meter-long and 45-meter-wide runway, a 3,000-square meter terminal, four parking aprons and other related facilities. Total investment in the airport is 685 million yuan ($103.30 million).

It is estimated that the airport will have an annual passenger throughput of 300,000 people, and an annual cargo throughput of 15,000 tons.
