Dec 3, 2017: At 16:00 Kempinski Hotel Harbin held an annual Christmas lighting ceremony, with all the guests at the event singing Christmas songs and admiring the Christmas tree lights.

This year, the atmosphere was exceptionally joyful. Before the ceremony, the lighting show provided by Heilongjiang Ascension Culture Communication was a great success. Santa Claus distributed Christmas gifts throughout the city. Mr Huang, the general manager of Kempinski Hotel Harbin, conveyed his Christmas greetings to guests and talked about the origins of the traditional European Christmas and the 120 years of history and culture of the Kempinski Group. Accompanied by two people dressed as angels, Mr Huang with the manager of Heilongjiang Aspire Culture Communication, Mr Sun, turned on the Christmas tree lights and opened the 2017 Christmas season with a choir singing Christmas songs.

This year, Kempinski Hotel Harbin brings the traditional German Christmas market to Harbin, allowing you to feel the traditional German Christmas atmosphere without leaving home. The hotel also invited representatives of the Christmas market to share the story of the history of Christmas markets. The hotel will also offer guests free mulled wine, Christmas cookies, and German Executive Chef Kai will be making a 5-meter-long Christmas stollen. In addition, the Christmas market will have handmade leather goods, ceramics, handicrafts, cigars and jewellery for sale. Over the next three Sundays the Christmas market will be open as well as on Christmas Day from 13: 00-18: 00.
