Harbin Ice and Snow World prepares for festival

Construction work takes place at Harbin Ice and Snow World, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province on Dec 11. With the approaching of Harbin’s annual ice and snow festival, Harbin Ice and Snow World is racing to complete construction work at its site. To guarantee the park is ready on time, around 1,000 workers and artists are working in temperatures as low as -20 Celsius to make sure everything is ready.[Photo/Xinhua]
An ice sculpture gradually takes shape at Harbin Ice and Snow World. Around 180,000 cubic meters of ice and 150,000 cubic meters of snow will be cut and delivered to Harbin Ice and Snow World, where they will eventually be made into ice and snow sculptures to entertain tourists during Harbin Ice and Snow Festival.
